Work turns in to remote work, and the employee turns into... a remote employee
Working from home is regulated by means of specific remote work legislation. Remote electronic timesheets are not only the employer's obligation, but also the latter's right. It is his chance to confirm that the employee complies with the labor agreement and the internal regulations, even when working from home.
Personal data protection and the GDPR challenge
Even in these new working conditions, compliance with the GDPR Regulation remains the employer's obligation. The risk of violating the remote employee's right to privacy and confidentiality is very high.

More stressful than keeping track of actual work from home is maintaining infrastructure security. Monitoring now - when the PC has connected to the company's VPN server, when emails have been sent or when business applications have been used. - either does not control the entire traffic, or does not anonymize it perfectly, or does not ensure full security.

When the employee wants to use the PC for personal purposes, he can deactivate the application. It does not store or transfer the user's personal information found on the device. The reactivation of the application is also achieved voluntarily.
IT DOES NOT TRACK EMPLOYEES` ACTIVITY: WHAT IS BEING TYPED OR THE CONTENT OF ACCESSED WEBSITES
The CREASOFT timesheet application does not record the content of e-mail documents, accessed websites, chat conversations, documents or applications used by your employees. ONLY the names of the applications and sites / windows in which the employee works (e.g.: amazon.com, anaf.ro, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, etc.) and the duration of use of each activity are displayed.
WARNING OF USERS IN CASE OF LONG INACTIVITY PERIODS
The purpose of the Application is not to catch the employee doing something wrong. The result of the work, however, is what matters to the employer. A non-performing employee will not bring more results in the present, no matter how many hours he registers in the timesheet. However, there is a way to ensure the required minimum of hours by deleting certain breaks
CLEAR SEPARATION BETWEEN LUCRATIVE WORK / ACTIVITIES AND PERSONAL USE
The time in which the application is not active is deemed as personal time. You can make lists with the sites that, once accessed, classify the respective activity into the Personal category;
EASY IT MANAGEMENT
The timesheet application is versatile and can be installed remotely on the monitored device (laptop, desktop). We do not complicate the life of the IT Manager.
RELEVANT REPORTS, ACTUAL INDICATORS (KPI)
Timesheets, overtime, attendance and the collective attendance sheet are mandatory documents that are easily extracted from the application or that are sent, through API, to other HR applications (payroll).
MONITORING REPORTS FOR EMPLOYEES WORKING FROM HOME
An important differentiator of the application are the Monitoring Reports of employees working from home. Management access (CEO, CFO, HR) to modern and quality KPI Indicators is achieved online, thanks to a friendly and intuitive web interface.
The application generates timesheet reports, attendance reports, calculation of overtime, but also the distribution of activity during a day, depending on the new dynamics. We don't forget the fact that many people working from home now have children around.
All the collected data goes into a database from which reports are extracted or transmitted automatically, via API, in other HR applications (payroll, for example).
